Actindo's Cloudinary Connection

Actindo's Cloudinary Connection enables retailers and manufacturers to keep their media and metadata synced with Cloudinary.

The Actindo-Cloudinary integration described here was developed according to Cloudinary's best practices and has been reviewed by the Cloudinary technical team.

Overview

Actindo is a Digital Operations Platform that includes a Product Information Management (PIM) for managing and controlling product data across all channels.

The Actindo Cloudinary Connection enables users to access the Cloudinary Media Library from directly within the Actindo PIM. This enables users to manage their images with Cloudinary and benefit from Cloudinary capabilities, including transformation, optimization, collaboration, and AI, without having to leave their native platform. Furthermore, the Connection enables users to make sure Actindo and Cloudinary product images, along with their metadata, are synced.

The Actindo Connection enables you to:

  • Sync product images from Actindo to Cloudinary (including metadata) or vice versa.
  • Delete Cloudinary images from Actindo and Cloudinary, or keep the images in Cloudinary while removing them only from Actindo.
  • Easily manage the image data for your products across all sales channels.

Notes
  • The integration only works with images.
  • You can only apply transformations on the frontend or through Actindo's ETL mapping.

With the Actindo Connection installed, you can benefit from using:

  • The Cloudinary DAM as your single source of truth for storing and collaborating on all of your rich media files. You can share media with other users, generate asset variations via easy to create and apply transformations, take advantage of advanced AI capabilities that enable automatic tagging, face detection, advanced search capabilities, background removal, and more.

  • Cloudinary's media optimizations, which enable media handling at scale including automatic image and video optimization and fast delivery to every user device and delivery channel.

Note
The Safari browser may require additional steps when logging in to the Media Library. If you encounter an issue, follow the prompts to log in separately and attempt to open the Media Library again. Alternatively, use one of the other recommended browsers when working with Cloudinary.
